Portal author wins the 2013 Inoue Yasushi Award

Congratulations to Dr Helen Kilpatrick of the University of Wollongong, who on Friday September 20, 2013, was awarded the 2013 Inoue Yasushi Award for her essay, 'Envisioning the Shôjo Aesthetic in Miyazawa Kenji’s “The Twin Stars” and “Night of the Milky Way Railway' , published in Portal Journal of Multidisciplinary International Studies in 2012 (Vol 9, No 3).
The Inoue Yasushi Award is presented once a year to the best article or book chapter on Japanese literature published in Australia or New Zealand.
