Julie Marcus, University of South Australia

 Julie Marcus is an anthropologist and biographer with long-standing interests in the politics of cultural differences. She has written on Muslim women’s religious practices in Turkey, museums, race, land rights in central Australia, the forest wars in Tasmania and sexual differences. She is the author of The Indomitable Miss Pink: A Life in Anthropology (2002).
