The editors are delighted to welcome you to Cultural Studies Review as it now appears in its new and paperless form.

We’re particularly pleased to initiate this new phase in the journal's life with a themed issue on Rural Cultural Studies, guest edited by Clifton Evers, Andrew Gorman-Murray and Emily Potter. This is an issue that explicitly challenges the urban bias of much work in cultural studies, not by turning to a mythical bush past but by addressing a rural context which is fully embedded in modernity.

We are looking forward to presenting many more challenging and thought provoking works in the cultural studies realm in issues to come.
