Abstract

This study investigates the elements influencing the overall confidence factor (COF) among key stakeholders in the construction industry, focusing specifically on contractors, clients, and consultants within the Ahmedabad area. A comprehensive questionnaire survey was administered to 246 respondents, ensuring equitable representation from each stakeholder group. The gathered data were meticulously analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and regression analyses to explore the differences and relationships between COF and other dependent variables, including the Overall Mean Factor (OMF) and Overall Satisfaction Factor (OSF). Additionally, several independent variables, such as the Overall Deficiency Factor (ODF), Overall Performance Factor (OPF), Overall Efficiency Factor (OEF), and Quality of Respondent Work (QRW), were examined. The results revealed notable disparities in COF across the three groups, with contractors exhibiting higher confidence levels than clients and consultants. Furthermore, a strong positive correlation was identified between COF and the independent variables, while an inverse relationship was observed with the Quality of Respondent Work (QRW). These findings underscore the critical factors influencing stakeholders' confidence in the construction sector and highlight areas where improvements can be made. The study concludes that a thorough understanding of these elements can lead to enhanced executive processes and improved project outcomes in the construction industry. By addressing the identified issues and fostering stronger relationships among stakeholders, the sector can achieve greater efficiency, higher client satisfaction, and, ultimately, more successful project completions. This research contributes valuable insights into stakeholder interactions and provides practical solutions for mitigating common industry challenges.
