Abstract:
The paper concentrates on the inference engine of Object Oriented Web Information Specification
(OOWIS), and attempts to integrate GOPT-resolution which is a derivation mechanism based on
partial intersection and truncation into OOWIS. OOWIS is a framework to utilise an existing
object-oriented programming on web information representation extraction and derivation.
Comparing with those top-dawn approaches, it is suggested that GOFT-resolution which belongs to
the bottom-up category is more appropriate for web information derivation (WID).
