Abstract:
We present here a method of localization of
electromagnetic radiating sources in an indoor
multi path environment where signals are highly
correlated. Almost all possible reflecting paths
including walls and other obstructions have been taken
into consideration for modelling simplified indoor
multipath environment. The conventional array
processing method for direction finding is modified to
include spatial complexities of the field to determine
both direction and range of source location in an
indoor multi path environment. Forward-backward
spatial smoothing technique is used to overcome the
problem due to highly correlated signal. Simulation
results are shown on the performance of localization in
a corridor environment.
