Abstract:
Here we consider the problem of passive localisation of
near-field electromagnetic sources in a homogeneous
medium by estimating the range, azimuth and elevation
angles using unitary ESPRIT algorithm. The sources are
assumed to be in the near-field region of a uniform
rectangular antenna array (URA) and estimate azimuth
and elevation angles of arrival. We also consider presence
of secondary sources that contribute to the generation of
multipath scattering. We estimate the time difference of
arrival (TOOA) using generalised cross correlation of
eigenvectors in the signal subspace. The range is then
estimated using the information on the angles of arrival
(AOA) and TOOA.
