Abstract:
In (1999) 10 AIPJ 5, Patrick Keyzer reviewed Indonesia's comprehensive reforms of its law of
trade marks. Indonesia has recently reformed its entire suite of intellectual property laws. In
particular, Indonesia has reformed its law of copyright to bring it into line with its obligations
under international law. This article, which incorporates a recent translation and analysis of
the changes by Oliver Richard Jones, reviews the new law and describes some of the legal,
practical and political issues for people hoping to enforce their copyright in Indonesia.
