Abstract:
This paper presents three characteristic
models using vectors describing the human hands.
They are the radial geometric model, hand geometry
equations and hand deformation models. The models
are based on measurements taken across a broad
spectrum of female and male representatives of
various ethnic groups in a laboratory setting. The
shapes and sizes of human hands are approximated,
the length of the hand and magnitudes of perimeter
vectors are proposed. A hand geometry equation is
derived using empirical methods.
