dc.description.abstract The building and construction industries are amongst the largest consumers of naturally occurring raw materials; at the same time. they are also the largest producers of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste especially in urban areas. The concept of utilising C&D waste as recycled materials for various applications has attracted the attention of researchers worldwide in recent years. The potential of brick fines as a recycled raw material for the production of new generation building materials is the subject of this paper. High pressure steam curing. a proven and widely used manufacturing method for cementitious building products. has been used to treat laboratory scale mixtures of brick fines. ordinary Portland cement and ground quartz sand in this study. Results of phase formation and some of the engineering characteristics are reported in this paper. en_US
