dc.description.abstract 3GPP has proposed LTE-Advanced as its 4G technology with many new features supplementing the current LTE technology. These new techniques lead to the demand of new Packet Scheduling Algorithms to distribute packets optimally from eNodeB to mobile stations in LTE-Advanced network. This paper presents the survey of these new algorithms that have been proposed, studies how the most well-known algorithm a?? proportional fair a?? has been propositionally modified, and discusses the new challenges for scheduling task in downlink of LTE-Advanced system. en_US
