Places Of Exile: The Transculturation Of Spanish Exiles In Mexico

Abstract

The article discusses political reforms in Spain during the 1930s, particularly the spread of communism and the eruption of the Spanish Civil War and the resulting exodus of Spanish pro-republican people to Mexico. The book "Mexican Poetry (1950-1960)," edited by Max Ahub is discussed in terms of how representative it is of Mexican literature. The article also considers autobiographical writings by Spanish exiles.
